Run length limited CCSDS convolutional codes for optical communications

چکیده

Abstract This paper presents the construction of RLL-ECCs (run length limited error control codes) from three selected ECCs specified by Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS) optical communications. The obtained present a practical alternative to CCSDS codes with pseudo-randomizers. Their advantage is that maximal run lengths equal symbols in their codeword sequences are guaranteed, which not case if common approach pseudo-randomizers used. other advantages no additional redundancy introduced into encoded codewords and encoding decoding procedures original do have be modified following cases: Firstly, hard used transmission channel can modeled as BSC (binary symmetric channel) secondly, soft coherent BPSK phase shift keying) modulation appropriate model an AWGN (additive white Gaussian noise) channel.
